Borge Ball

Danish, 1906-1979

Borge Ball painted primarily the Danish countryside his entire career, and became known as one of the leading landscape painters in Denmark. He studied at the Technical Institute, and then the Copenhagen Academy.

He exhibited at in Paris at the Salon des Artistes Francais from 1934, becoming a member of the society.  His Post-Impressionist technique is evident in many of his landscapes.
