Louis studied at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux Arts in Paris in the studios of Earnest Laurant and Paul Bardouin. In 1919 he was appointed head of the school of decorative art in Nice while in Nice he met Henri Matisse and Marc Chagall.
Work by Dussour was included in collective exhibitions such as the 1937 Paris Expostion Internationale, where he won a gold medal. The 1969 Exposition Internationale in Liege. The 1950 Menton Biennale where he won a gold medal in Paris, the Societe des Artistes Francais of which he became a member, the Salon d'Automne, the Salon des Artiste Independants. He also had solo shows, for instance in Clairmont Ferrand, in 1974 when he exhibited the work of 50 years, and in Nice, Riem, Paris, etc.
