About Us
Le TRIANON is considered by many collectors and designers as a premiere source of museum quality antiques and works of art. As Architectural Digest notes “this is the place to visit,” other articles by Town and Country, the New York Times….“A pleasant discovery in the Berkshires!”
Jean-Henri and Colette while living in France had always this passion for the arts. Traveling through out Europe and visiting museums and being constantly around beautiful architecture formed this strong foundation. In 1978 their move to New York City lent their way to their goal of opening up a fine art and antiques gallery. After 5 years the gallery moved to Sheffield, MA where they opened a larger showroom to accommodate their expanding inventory.
Continuing the family tradition Jean-Henri and Colette and now their sons Alexander and Eric through their travels have assembled a fine collection from various chateaux and private estates in the United States and Europe. They have combined their passion for rare and fascinating items for connoisseurs, collectors, designers and dealers alike. Each piece has been acquired with thoughtful attention and devotion to the subtleties of provenance. From the 17th to the 20th Century, French, Italian, English and Continental furniture and accessories are in display in our extensive showrooms, along with a large selection of American and European paintings, tapestries and other works of Art.
