A Fine Pair of French Bronze Classical Figures Now Mounted as Lamps By Louis Valentin Elias Roberts

Signed. L.V.E. Robert, each a standing draped classical woman mounted on round black marble plinth with bronze frieze of classical figures.
Louis Valentin Elias Roberts was a student of David D’Angers and of Pradier.
He debuted at the Salons in 1845. He won many medals and awards throughout his career.
He received the Chevalier de la Legion Honneur in 1856.
