Bruno Emile Laurent
French, born 1928

Charles Emile Laurent born in Charleville-Mézières (Ardennes) on May 1, 1928 is at first attracted to theater enrolling in the course of Jean Vilar of TNP in Paris. But his passion soon became painting where he began to take night classes at the “Ville de Paris”. Influenced by Utrillo and Madet, and at times by Genin at the beginning of his painting career, Laurent paints urban scenes and well known sites and landmarks in France.

He made his mark as a painter while opening a restaurant and selling to his clients. In 1985 he partnered with Henri Monnier Gallery where he exhibited and sold his post impressionist works. Laurent has made a strong name for himself as a painter of Montmartre.
