Henry-Adolphe Laurent

French, 1840-1908

Henry-Adolphe Laurent studied with Palizzi and Herbert. He Exhibited at Le Salon from 1866 to 1885, then at La Societe Nationale des Beaux Arts and the Autumn Salon in 1906 and 1907.

He specialized in landscapes inspired by the banks of the river Creuze and by Parisian gardens. His wife Adele Laurent-Desrousseaux, born in 1836, painted interior scenes and portraits. She exhibited at the salon from 1857 to 1885.
