​Jan Simon Knikker, Jr

Jan Simon Knikker, Jr, was born in Leiden. He was the son of painter Jan Simon Knikker, Sr, and was probably first taught by him before he went to the Art Academy of The Hague between 1928 and 1932. Like his father, he painted landscapes, river, winter and city scenes and flower still lifes. To distinguish himself from his father, Knikker, Jr, sometimes signed his works with ‘H. Endlich'.
