A Fine & Rare Louis XVI Ormolu Mounted Porphyry Center Table Attributed to M.G.Biennais
18th Century

The porphyry top breakfront outline contained within a beaded ormolu border fitted with rosettes, and raised on eight circular white marble legs fitted with ormolu banding and joined by an ormolu box stretcher, ending in ormolu thimble sabots fitted with castors

Martin Guillaume Biennais was an ebeniste and silversmith recorded working at the end of the 18th century. He had a business called “Au Singe Violet” located at 511 Rue St.Honore.
