A Highly Important Portuguese Mahogany Triple Action Game Table

18th Century

The hinged top opening to three surfaces, the first surface opens to a polished playing surface, further opening to a leather lined playing surface with counter wells, and finally
opening to an inlaid chess board, revealing a compartment, above a carved frieze and gadrooned apron, raised on acanthus carved slightly cabriole legs ending in claw and ball feet.
