Walter Satterlee
American, 1844-1908

Walter studied at the National Academy of Design, Columbia 1863 with E. White, in New York; L.Bonnat, in Paris; Freeman, in Rome.

He exhibited at the Brooklyn Art Association 1867-86; National Academy of Design 1866-1908 (Prize 1886); Art Institute of Chicago; Boston Art Club 1881-82, 1884, 1888;
Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, 1885.
