Antoine Eugene Lambert
French, 1824-1903

Antoine Eugene Lambert studied under Thierry and Daubigny.  At the beginning he lived with the masters of the Barbizon School.  His first works were inspired by the Forest of Foutainebleau.  He first exhibited at the Salon in 1857.  He received medals for his works in 1887 & 1889 (Universal Exhibition.)  He mostly painted landscapes of Picardie & Normandy.  His works are rare and in private collections.
