Cornelis Van Leemputten
Belgian, 1841-1902

Cornelis Van Leemputten based his paintings from his study of nature. He took part in many expositions with great success. He gained the gold medal at the following expositions: Gand 1883; Edimboug 1886; Port-Adelaide 1887; Berlin 1896. He won the Order de Leopold in 1895. The following museums carry his works: Musee d’Anvers, de Bucarest, de Louvain, de Middlebourg

and de Sheffield.
