Georges François Souillet
French, 1861–1957

Georges Souillet studied under Felix Laurent at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Tours, and Alexandre Cabanel at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He was primarily a landscape artist. He painted views of the Ile-de-France, Normandy, Brittany, North Africa and in particular the Touraine region of France.  His work featured in the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris from 1899 and the Salon de la Societe des Beaux - Arts in Nantes in 1899 and 1906.
