Aveline is the name of a French Parisian family of painters and engravers we can trace back to 1505.Pierre Alexander Aveline is the son of Pierre Aveline.He studied under Jean-Baptiste de Poilly.

He is recognized as one of the best engravers of the 18thCentury.He became a member of the academy in 1737.He is famous for his reproduction of scenes by Antoine Watteau.These examples are very rare.His works are sought after by collectors and museums around the world.
