Ramn Pichot Soler

Ramon Pichot Soler belongs to a family closely linked to the arts. His father - Ricard Pichot- and uncle Luis were closely related to music: the first cellist, pupil of Pau Casals, and the second violinist. Closer to the artistic activity, is his uncle Ramon that his pictorial corpus development in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

Following the paternal footsteps, he began studying cello, but decided to use plastic to discover his true vocation arts. At that time there lived in Paris i began its formative stage in the current post-impressionist style to which he remained faithful throughout his entire career. Pichot was twenty when he exhibited for the first time. Then, through various exhibitions it will be unveiled in Spain and in Europe. In March 1954 he exhibited at the “Circulo de Bellas Artes” in Madrid and soon his work would be accepted in the United States, in New York. First he exhibited in Trosby gallery in Palm Beach, Florida in 1964 and two years later did the Hammer Galleries in New York with great success, which was repeated several times until 1981.
