Gaston de Latouche
French 1854-1913

Gaston followed the advice of his friend Felix Braquenord and especially Manet.  In 1890 the socite nationale des Beaux arts was created and Gaston was one of its most prominent members.  He was awarded medals in 1884, 1888.

He was awarded a bronze medal at the Universal Exhibition in 1889 and a gold medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1900.  His paintings have both the grace of the 18th Century and the feeling of modern style.
